Take my muddy hand as if to say
"It is okay to be unclean"
The primal beast of gaps that dwells in the rift between the Crimson Horizon and the blue sky. Her original duty was to serve as an aid and companion to the physically weak Astral Ingram, who was left in charge of collecting data and recording the customs of skydwellers. However, after thousands of years of isolation, alone and abandoned by the one she was made to complete, she plans to lash out against those she was meant to keep an eye on using the research left behind by her "beloved."
Originally an affectionate and timid girl, she always followed and fretted over her beloved. She took care of him whenever he needed comfort, loving him unconditionally no matter what he did—after all, he created her to always love him. Along with her duty as a lover, her other primary duties included helping the physically weak astral in his duties, recording and observing the culture and history of skydwellers.
However, the departure of her beloved—the man who she was made to adore without question, her personality became warped. Unable to monitor Ingram but still able to watch over those below, she found herself overcome with work as she scrambled to complete it to the best of her ability. She grew to hate the skydwellers over time, wondering why Ingram would ever love a people so embroiled in conflict. The more wars she wrote about, the more worried she became. The more acts of treachery she witnessed, the more bitter her heart grew.
Until one day, it all snapped.
Overcome with anger, and in frustration, she tried to leave the void which she was cursed to call home. She did not care if her body began to tear itself apart into a whirlwind of ice and flame. She only wanted answers... And in her rage, she left the void to find him herself many centuries ago, attacking islands one by one over the span of years to find a trail that would finally lead her to her Ingram.

My own body and soul and all the pain that it holds
They aren't real but why should that matter!?
A fake body made from porcelain that Ginnungagap uses to travel without being bound to Sarnai's body. Although this way the two can technically exist at once, she would rather knock out her vessel and hide her in the void before she finds out of her existence. It would be inconvenient if she were to find out, after all. Along with that, it also benefitted her that she could simply lie and say that destroying "her" body would destroy her own vessel's in the process.
Ginnungagap painstakingly made the body in order to appear as humanlike as possible, pouring months and months of work and research into making her body normal looking. To add to this, she made a false personality, taking influence from her vessel to create a happy go lucky, annoyingly cheerful girl.

You are not here! You are not here! A world without you...
From the beginning, there should not be such a thing!
A physically weak astral in charge of recording skydweller history and customs. Due to his lack of stamina and strength, he created Ginnungagap to help him in his duties—something he takes pride in. His passive, easy going personality made him easy to get along with, often acting a comforting presence amidst any chaotic situation he might get himself wrapped into. However, whenever possible, he would much prefer to solve any conflict as peacefully as he possibly can.
He possesses a concerning knowledge and understanding of skydwellers due to his position as an observer, and through this knowledge he has grown fascinated and infatuated with skydwellers. With each passing day, his fascination grew and grew until he eventually became bored with his life as an observer. Eventually, he wished to see the world for himself, so much so that he would abandon his prison he had called a home for so long and the primal beast he created to explore the world for himself.
The Void
Such a hideous, lonely place
A realm that seemingly rests between dimensions, denying time and space and all reason. What is up can become down. Reality itself within the void bends to the will of its master and creator, the astral historian Ingram.
Due to its nature as a rift—a gap between the sky and the terrifying beyond, it is a place impossible to reach by normal means. Only those like Ingram or his first primal beast Ginnungagap can reach it by creating a portal to and fro. Once inside, the space is seemingly endless as the scenery changes to whatever Ingram, or, more recently, Ginnungagap wishes.
It mostly functions as a sort of observatory and library for the most part, with rows and rows of records. Shelves filled to the brim with books, scrolls, tablets, and even ancient artifacts that interest the two are a common sight. In fact, for the most part it is the only sight when Ingram is not present. When he was an inhabitant in the void, he would paint the scenery to whatever he wished, changing it up every so often so as to not get too bored. One moment, it was a quiet cabin in a field of flowers. The next morning, it was a beach house the two could relax in.
Truly, what a wonderful place it was when Ingram was there...
Combat Abilities
Physical Abilities
STRENGTH - Due to her original role as Ingram's physically strong assistant, she possesses a terrifying physical strength, something amplified by her claws.
CLAWS - Ginnungagap possesses long, monstrous claws that have the ability to cleave stone with ease. When shrunken down, they function as normal hands, albiet somewhat clumsy ones.
ENDURANCE - As a primal, she naturally possesses a strong constitution... Along with an even more formidable tenacity in everything she does. Even if her body gives out, even if it tears to shreds, she will still keep searching for answers.
SHAPESHIFTING - She has the ability to shapeshift slightly. So as to not cause panic, and because she does not find it cute, she normally hides her long tail and sharp horns. Unfortunately, she cannot hide her own claws, only making them small enough to function as normal hands.
Magical Abilities
VOID MANIPULATION - Similarly to her master, she can manipulate the void itself. However, she does not have the same aptitude he does. When outside of her home, the most she can do is create portals to the void or other islands if she can visualize them. When inside the void, however, her powers increase to a terrifying degree.
OBSERVATION - With some limits like astrals and stronger primals, Ginnungagap can "tag" beings to observe them from above, similarly to Ingram.
CURSE - An ability Ginnungagap did not even know she had until she first "fell" many centuries ago. She can possess a skydweller's body, granting them part of her power. She suspects the ability was given to her mainly as a way to help skydwellers, but she turns this gift into a curse out of spite. She will give them power, but at the cost of their health, and, if they are unlucky enough, their life. However, for better or for worse it seems as if she has begun to take a shine to her new host.
